This page explains what we collect when you visit veltapress.com or buy from us, why we hold it, and what you can make us do with it. The data controller is Ramos Digital Ltd, company number 17403039, registered in England and Wales.

1. What we collect

• Your email address, if you join the launch list or buy a title. It is how we send the download link and the receipt.
• Purchase records — what you bought, when, and how much it cost. We are required to keep these for tax purposes.
• Basic technical data your browser sends to any website: IP address, browser type, and the pages you opened.

We never see or store your card number. Payment details go directly to our payment processor and are never transmitted to or held on our servers.

2. Why we hold it

Your email address is held to fulfil the order you placed — to send the file you paid for and the receipt that proves you paid. That is contractual necessity, not consent, and it is why we cannot delete the purchase record on request while tax rules still require it.

Launch-list addresses are held on consent alone. You gave it by typing the address into the form, and you can withdraw it at any time, at which point the address is deleted rather than suppressed.

3. How long we keep it

Purchase records: six years from the end of the relevant tax year, which is the retention period UK company law imposes on us. Launch-list addresses: until you unsubscribe, or until the list has been dormant for 24 months, whichever comes first. Server logs: 30 days.

4. Who else sees it

Our payment processor, to take the payment. Our email provider, to deliver the download link. Our hosting provider, which necessarily processes requests to the site. Each of these acts on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell data, rent lists, or pass your address to advertisers. If a law enforcement request or court order ever compelled disclosure we would comply with it, and we would tell you unless legally barred from doing so.

5. Advertising

We advertise on social platforms. Those platforms may set their own cookies when you arrive from one of their ads, governed by their policies rather than ours. We do not upload customer lists to advertising platforms for targeting.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, have it sent to you in a portable format, or object to our using it for marketing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, which is the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, email anyone on our list.
